Visibility scopes narrow usage of the template to a particular context.

You can create templates in one of three types of scopes:

  • Personal - Visible (in the issues) only to the particular user, who also manages is.
  • Projects - Visible for issues from selected projects. Managed by respective project administrators and project leads.
  • Global - Visible to everybody. Managed by Jira administrators.
  • Group - Visible to members any of chosen groups.

  • If a template has multiple projects selected as a visibility scope – it is going to be available for every user in all issues in each of those projects.
  • Project's leads or admins (as well as global admins) for all of projects in scope will have permissions to edit and remove it.
