Whiteboards can be attached to Jira dashboard, so that you can see a live preview of their content directly on your dashboard next to other gadgets, or charts.
Go to your dashboard and press the Add gadget button
"Whiteboard" gadget is available on the list:

Click on a whiteboard to see it in full screen, edit the content, and collaborate with others:
